Espacio que nace con la idea de compartir los ensayos, links, libros, exposiciones, etc. que pudieran surgir de los estudios realizados por los integrantes de la III Cohorte de la Maestría en Integración Regional que dicta la Universidad Latinoamericana y del Caribe; los que podrían servir para Cohortes futuras o a cualquiera que le interese el dinámico mundo de la Integración.
El país dio inicio a Venecom, una empresa encargada de importar, exportar y comercializar bienes y productos de distintas industrias, como el calzado, alimento, textiles, útiles para el hogar y equipos electrodomésticos, entre otras cosas.
De acuerdo con el Decreto publicado en Gaceta Oficial número 39.563, Venezuela ha creado una institución con el objetivo de ejecutar las operaciones de comercio exterior. De esta manera, se crea la empresa Venecom que se encargará de importar, exportar y comercializar los bienes y productos tales como: alimentos, textiles, calzado, útiles para el hogar, equipos electrodomésticos, productos de uso personal, y accesorios para carros, entre otros.
Venecom estará adscrita al Ministerio de Comercio y su capital es de 100 millones de bolívares.
Según los medios locales, la medida viene a complementar los instrumentos de que dispone el gobierno para regular y participar en el comercio exterior de Venezuela.
Hasta el momento, las instituciones más importantes para las compras internacionales del país son la Corporación de Abastecimientos y Suministros Agrícolas (CASA) que se ocupa de la importación directa de bienes de consumo masivo como arroz, trigo, azúcar, aceite, leche, entre otros.
Venezuela ha presentado Venecom, una institución con el objetivo de ejecutiar las operaciones de comercio exterior. La entidad estará adscrita al Ministerio de Comercio.
Por otra parte, desde 2008 la Productora y Distribuidora de Alimentos (PDVAL) también inicia operaciones de importación directa de todo tipo de bienes de consumo, incluidos consumo durable, y abre tiendas de venta directa al público.
También existe MERCAL, red de distribución al detalle del Estado, otro organismo gubernamental, comprador importante de bienes importados por particulares, es decir, compra los bienes ya nacionalizados.
Los gobiernos de Francia y Alemania le hicieron saber a la Comisión Europea que consideraban que Bulgaria y Rumania todavía no estaban listas para ser parte del Espacio Schengen, la zona de libre circulación a la que pertenecen 25 países europeos.
Bulgaria y Rumania esperaban ser admitidas en marzo de 2011, pero los ministros del interior de Francia y Alemania calificaron de "insuficientes" sus esfuerzos por combatir la corrupción y el crimen organizado.
Y, según el Acuerdo de Schengen, que eliminó los controles migratorios entre los países signatarios, para poder ser parte del espacio de libre circulación europeo se requiere de la aprobación de todos sus integrantes.
Actualmente éste incluye a todos los estados miembros de la Unión Europea, con la excepción del Reino Unido, Irlanda, Chipre, Rumania y Bulgaria.
También son parte del Espacio Schengen tres países no miembros de la UE: Noruega, Islandia, Suiza y Liechtenstein.

The Digital South Asia Library. Sponsored by University of Chicago, this library provides images, reference material, statistics, indexes, and more all focusing on South Asia.
Nagoya University Library. The manuscripts in these digital databases are in Japanese, as are most of the sites (with some English and French). Whether you know any Japanese or not, if you appreciate the beauty of ancient Japanese manuscripts, you can randomly click through these sites and find some beautiful images.

Welch Medical Library. This library, courtesy of Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, offers a search feature for articles published in medical journals and online. They also have Subject Guides under the “eResources” section that offers links to topics ranging from Alternative Medicine to Grants and Funding to Writing and Publishing.
The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Care Center. Each page at this site provides a wealth of information explaining about specific types of cancer as well as topics related to cancer such as pain, fatigue, and genetics.

Copenhagen University Library. In conjunction with the National Library, this site offers a wide range of materials available in both English and Danish.
National and University Library of Iceland. Look at ancient maps of Iceland or explore the multiple databases available on this site. Some areas are restricted to those associated with the university.
National and University Library St. Kliment Ohridski – Skopje. Available in English, this library of the former Yugolslov Republic of Macedonia offers a limited amount of information online, but you can access some databases. Members of the library have access to more sections.
National and University Library of Slovenia. The digital library offers access to many national treasures of Slovenian history. Much of the website can be navigated in English.
WORLD RELIGION LIBRARIES
From various types of Christianity to Judaism to Buddhism, these libraries offer an opportunity for religious research.
Hartford Seminary Library. Find books, dissertations, and more on Christian theology here. Some access is restricted to students of the seminary.
Brigham Young University Digital Collections. Click on “Text Collections” for a wide range of available texts including children’s literature, sermons of John Donne, and a huge collection of Mormon literature.

University of Texas Libraries. Browse through the multiple libraries and museums available on this site. Some access is restricted to those affiliated with the university, but there is plenty of information for the general public.

LSU Libraries: Special Collections. While only parts of these special collections are available online, you can learn about the oral history of Louisiana, rare books, and the Civil War.

La Integración de América Latina y el Caribe en una sola comunidad de naciones es una aspiración que nació hace ya casi 180 años como el gran anhelo a los pueblos de este continente que se liberan del dominio colonial español. Los próceres de la gesta independentista trataron de convertir ese sueño en realidad, fue Simón Bolívar, el Libertador, quien estuvo más cerca de lograrlo con su convocatoria al Congreso Anfictiónico de Panamá, aquel histórico intento que se llevó a cabo del 22 de junio al 15 de julio de 1826 en la Sala Capitular del antiguo recinto del Convento de San Francisco, en la Ciudad de Panamá.
El curso Internacional de Ampliación Acreditable a Postgrado en Integración Latinoaméricana Perspectivas Comparadas con la Integración Europea, se propone además esclarecer la concepción teórico - metodológica de lo que significa una plena integración. Uno de los problemas cruciales para avanzar en el proceso integrador es lograr una concepción científicamente fundamentada del proceso integrador. Actualmente en América Latina en el discurso de ciertos actores se observa cierta laxitud en la comprensión del concepto de integración, los usos no rigurosos de este concepto están conduciendo a identificar con integración cualquier asociación y de sus actores. Pareciera que en ocasiones se conciben como idénticos integración y aperturismo comercial, en este enfoque tan amplio se corre el peligro de que se diluya la esencia de lo que significa una plena integración de los países latinoamericanos, y lejos de acercarnos al sueño Bolívariano de una Comunidad Latinoamericana de Naciones (CLAN), más bien nos distanciamos de éste.
De ahí la necesidad de estudiar el modelo de integración de la Unión Europea que según los principios declarados en sus documentos constitutivos, se basa en la solaridad, cooperación, igualdad, unidad, libertad, seguridad y paz duradera entre los países miembros constitutivos de la unión. Naturalmente, que no se trata de la "copia" de este proceso europeo, sino aprovecharse de la mejor experiencia integradora latinoamericana y caribeña desde las condiciones específicas y los intereses legítimos de nuestros pueblos, y no desde los intereses de otros más poderosos.
Los esfuerzos académicos, científicos y profesionales de estos estudios deben proporcionar herramientas para el diseño de un modelo latinoamericano de integración, orientado en principios tales como:
* La integración como instrumento del desarrollo, independencia y soberanía latinoamericana.
* Cooperación, solidaridad, igualdad, unidad, paz y seguridad.
* Mejoramiento del nivel de vida de los pueblos.
* Equidad y cohesión social.
* Respeto a la cultura e identidades nacionales, y la construcción de una doble adhesión; nacional y latinoamericana y caribeña.
* Trato preferencial y diferenciado.
* Mayor capacidad de negociación.
* Creación de instituciones nacionales y de integración eficientes y vigorosas.
* Relaciones soberanas de colaboración y beneficio mutuo con el resto del mundo.
PRESENTACION
LA UNIVERSIDAD LATINOAMERICANA Y DEL CARIBE (ULAC), fue creada el 29 de Enero de 1993. Es una institución educativa altamente comprometida en la búsqueda del desarrollo integrado de América Latina y el Caribe. Surgió como una idea en el Parlamento Latinoamericano con la finalidad de aproximar al ciudadano al proceso de integración del continente y transformarlo en protagonista vivo, creador y dinámico del proceso integrador y de las libertades democráticas.
La ULAC fue concebida como una institución académica de excelencia, con cursos de postgraduación, especialización, maestrías, doctorados y postdoctorados, dentro de proyectos específicos concentrados en áreas de interés de los pueblos de la región.
Su actuación en Venezuela está jurídicamente autorizada mediante la Ley Aprobatoria del Convenio Sede entre el Gobierno de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela y la Universidad Latinoamericana y del Caribe, que aprueba dicho Convenio “en todas sus partes y para que surta efectos internacionales en cuanto a Venezuela se refiere”, publicada en la Gaceta Oficial No. 5.567 Extraordinario del viernes 28 de Diciembre de 2001
En el mes de Octubre de 2003 se le asigna un lugar en el Consejo Nacional de Universidades a la representación de la Universidad Latinoamericana y del Caribe, Publicado en Gaceta Oficial de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela Nº 37.801, Caracas, 21-10-2003.
La Universidad Latinoamericana y del Caribe pretende el desarrollo integrado y autosuficiente de las comunidades de América Latina, procurando acercar a los ciudadanos a los procesos de integración del continente, a fin de transformarlos en protagonistas vivos, creadores y dinámicos de este proceso. Es por ello, que la ULAC, conjuntamente con el Instituto Mediterráneo de Estudios Europeos (IMEE), el Instituto de Estudios Internacionales y la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, se propuso la creación de la Maestría en Integración Regional, Perspectivas Comparadas (América Latina y Europa) cuyo propósito es la formación de profesionales y docentes investigadores del proceso de integración latinoamericana en sus aspectos jurídicos, económicos, políticos, sociales y culturales, tomando en consideración la integración de la Unión Europea.
OBJETIVOS
Objetivo General
Formar recursos humanos altamente especializados que posean conocimientos teóricos y metodológicos sobre los procesos de integración basada en la diversidad de enfoques existentes, con especial énfasis en la integración latinoamericana y sus implicaciones para los países miembros y para el contexto regional, así como en su relación con la formación de otros bloques a nivel internacional.
Objetivos Específicos.
Proporcionar los instrumentos teóricos y metodológicos prácticos que permitan no solo profundizar el conocimiento de las temáticas más relevantes, sino interpretar la realidad mundial y latinoamericana en sus transformaciones históricas y en su estructura y proceso integrativo actual.
Estudiar y evaluar los procesos de integración internacional, abordándolos en sus aspectos políticos, económicos, jurídicos, socio-culturales e manera interdisciplinaria, para comprender su desarrollo e impacto en nuestra región.
Formar investigadores con dominio en el abordaje interdisciplinario de la problemática de integración
Proporcionar espacios de reflexión crítica que permita el intercambio de distintas perspectivas disciplinarias sobre el análisis e interpretación de la integración en América Latina y el Caribe.
